first he has to get SDK working on his own because i cant help him with that, i dunno whats wrong with his and i pointed him to tutorial for hammer, which should get you started easily.

First off i have redownloaded Source SDK and no it was still 53mb.

Could you possibly know of a problem?

tbh no i dont know why thats happening but.. i think source sdk will also rely on other files like cs:s 100% and stuff.

i think sdk itself is only 250mb but the essentials come from other games like textures and stuff. im not sure though. so i hve no idea whats the problem, i can help you with the mapping but not stuff like this, try the steam site.
